Hanna Kasti-Lungberg, the Swedish freelancing artist and graphic designer. She spent part time in Gothenburg, Sweden and part time in Los Angeles, California. From the landscape to the colors of the city, her works are always bold, colorful, vibrant and playful. Also, she’s greatly influenced by the 80’s and 90’s. She hopes her works will make people happy and put a smile on their face for any reasons.
Hanna recently helped JumpFromPaper customized the cartoon backpack named Licorice confetti.
We had a short interview with her! Let’s check this out!!
Could you please tell us more about the concepts of the design? Any details from the backpacks you want people to know?
Hanna: Licorice confetti is what I used to call my favorite candy in my childhood. The backpack reminds me of it. I like being spontaneous at work. At first, I was not sure what my backpack was going to look like. There’re certain shapes I’d love to paint in my artworks, but the result always turns out what I feel at the moment. I always improvise.
Could you please share with people why you want to become an artist?
Hanna: It’s in my genes. For me, it’s natural that I pursue the career in art and design. I can’t imagine myself doing something else. My favorite part of freelancing is that I get to manage my own schedule. I believe people shouldn’t adapt to the norm. We all should design our own career. Take me as an example, working anywhere and anytime always helps me stay inspired and gives me lots of opportunities.
What advice would you give to young artists?
Hanna: I’m a young artist myself. I need advice, too. But, I think doing whatever makes you happy is the best motivational quote out there.
Do what YOU want. Believe you can make it. Don’t let failure and rejection let you down. Set up goals and achieve them. Most importantly, make sure you’re happy while doing them! If you’re not, you should probably do something else.
